Spirit of Peace Healing

Ayahuasca and Wachuma Retreats in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru
Rejuvenating treatments are used in Ayurveda after a strong detoxification process to help the body and mind to rebuild and rebalance, and are especially useful after your medicine ceremonies to help you to integrate your experiences, feel more 'down to Earth' again, and to nourish your body, especially after the restrictions of a dieta. These are available as stand-alone treatments or as a three-day package inculding one or two treatments per day, over three or five days during the week following your retreat. We will design your series of treatments together to include the ones that will be the most beneficial for you, and medicated oils and herbs will be selected for your body type and to treat any imbalances or conditions that are present on the day.
Abhyanga
Full body massage with warm medicated oil

After your retreat, Abyhanga can help you to relax, feel more grounded and present in your body and calm your mind as you process your experiences and insights. Warm, medicated oils are massaged into the back, shoulders, arms, legs, stomach, chest and face with oils and herbs chosen to be the most balancing for you on the day. The heavy qualities of the oils relax and nourish the body and ground and calm the mind. This treatment is suitable for everyone and can be an especially beneficial tool for integration and processing after strong ceremonies and significant shifts and insights. The oil draws toxins out of the area whilst simultaneously nourishing that body part. This is recommended when there are ongoing issues, or a long recovery time, in a specific area, as an additional form of treatment alongside the medicine ceremonies, and can be applied to the back, shoulders, knees, heart, abdomen and lower abdomen. Ayurvedic Consultation

Ayurvedic wisdom offers a diverse range of tools for both healing holistically and preventing illness, and health consultations are often an appealing option when your ceremonies inspire you to take better care of your health or to deepen your understanding of yourself and your body. Ayurveda is a holistic system, originating in India alonside yoga, which acknolwedges that the body, mind, emotions and spirit and all connected and which guides us towards a deeper connection with ourselves and with nature through living the best lifestyle and consuming the best foods and herbs for our personal consitutiton. Ayurveda teaches that each one of us is made up of a unique balance of elements and that what is medicine for one person can be poison for another, and so through applying Ayurvedic techniques and principles to our lives we are not only able to improve our health but can learn to know and understand ourselves more deeply.

An initial consultation comes in two parts. The first two hour meeting is an intake of information to determine your Ayurvedic constitution, the nature of any imbalances you may have and to discuss what you are hoping to achieve through your Ayurvedic lifestyle changes. In the second meeting, a few days later, you'll be given a written report of findings around your constitution along with some simple lifestyle suggestions which may include dietary changes, herbal medicines, adjustments to your daily routine, yoga, meditation, excercise, contemplative activities and changes to your living environment

For the best results, it's recommended to meet for weekly or bi-weekly follow up visits for four to six months in order to make changes slowly and to track the results of what you are doing. If we are also meeting for medicine integration sessions, these can be combined together. After successfully applying the necessary Ayurvedic techniques and practices, people often find it useful to continue to meet for seasonal or annual/bi-annual check-ins to make small adjustments to fit whatever may be happening in their life and to continue with their Ayurvedic journey.
